So it has been over a week since i have graced the fine city of duluth with my presence...and so much has happened...ok i lied, it has pretty much been a week of sitting around doing nothing and i have liked some of it.
This is the story of my first week of summer vacation.
I had my job interview last thursday at MNDOT and they apparently liked me enough to offer me the job, but not after i complete a pre employment physical today at 2. hopefully i flushed all the drugs out of my system by then. I still dont know what i am doing for this job yet, but i guess i will be finding that out when i start my first day. yippee, i got a job...no more sitting around on my ass like last summer
Now to my most (and at parts least) favorite part of summer, golf. I have been able to go out twice, so screw you ben, and i haven't broken any clubs yet. Round 1. went with tony, on possibly the windiest day in Nemadji history. It was after my interview at MNDOT and we hadn't decided on what course to go on and since the wind was blowing off the lake at duluth we decided 'hey lets go over their, it will probably be better golf.' i couldn't have been more wrong about anything...the direction had changed and the temperature had dropped about 10 degrees...overall great conditions. the round was a 44, but that was with four pars, and overall decent 'first round of the year' golfing...Round 2. got to take out my grandma and grandpa at their home course, Pattison Park Golf Course, you probably haven't heard of it, but the ground was one big sponge, i mean i hit a ball 200 yards in the air and it hit the ground and stuck. on a hole that is 210 yards you kinda play the bounce, not that day. I think you could have taken off atleast 1 shot on each hole for the poor conditions, i shot a 47, but it is only a par 33.
You will probably not guess this next part of my week, most guys don't do this with their time, but hey i am not like most guys....i am that much cooler, ya right. I have been, monday, wednesday, and thursday, watching my little cousin anika all morning when her mom and grandparents have been at work. How cute isn't it?
So the crush thing that i have been going on about for the past couple of months, well it is officially over. I realized that it is just a little high school thing and that all is well being just friends.
Anyways i am sure i have forgotten something good but i am out of here, have to get out of the house. I will be writing again soon as i will most definately have to talk about my aunts third wedding this weekend. So stay tuned.
