not a good day
so i don't want sympathy, or that ''awww'' treatment from anyone because i am writing about my overall not-so-good day, i just thought i would tell how crappy a day can go and still somehow survive it all.
5:15am-Alarm goes off for morning crew practice
5:19am-roll out of bed and make my way out of the room to get ride to docks
5:40am-get to docks to begin running warm-up
5:49am-get back from run, realize two people of our 8-man boat are missing (damn them)
5:59am-still waiting for other 2, can't get ahold of them, get changed from rowing in the good boat to rowing in the old heavy boat (acceptable, as the girls did have all 8, but still crappy)
6:12am-waited 5 more minutes for slackers and brought boat down to water (still only have 6 rowers)
6:17am-seat to boat doesn't fit in slides, have to find new one
6:28am-find seat that fits, now the problem is getting it into the slides
6:34am-get seat that works in, finally pushing off the dock
6:37-6:45am-because of missing two people (in bow of boat) boat steering sucks and weave back and forth through the channel to portage lake
6:45am-trying to move 3 and 4 seat to bow and 2 seat, doesn't work because the seats don't fit (see boat description below)
6:55am-coach thanks us for trying, and sends us back to the docks to go home
7:00am-7:15am-put boat back on trailer and head back to dorms
(got up at 5:15am for two hours to do absolutely nothing)
12:05pm-lunch, spill glass of milk
1:24pm-sit down to start reading for my math quiz, realize i have geology at 1 and am 19 minutes late at that point...didn't really matter, but still
3:07pm-Math quiz...need i say more
7:20pm-spill glass of water on desk, all over laptop, statics book, and statics homework
7:21pm-fire drill...talk about bad timing, didn't get much time to clean up and dry out my laptop
8:00-8:10pm-redo first part of statics homework
8:10-11:00pm-work on second problem of statics homework...and not finish
11:00pm-find out i have practice again in the morning
11:00-11:45pm-Hall grilled cheese social (one of the plusses of the day)
11:45-12:00pm-clean up...put everything away, and try to get to bed
12:10am-crawl into bed for a wonderful 5 hours of sleep before practice
all times are eastern time for all you peeps back home (that means subtract one hour for your time) and are only guess, fairly accurate guesses, but still guesses none-the-less.
